Southport Podiatry Clinic
Treating the Gold Coast since 1967
Southport Podiatry Clinic is the oldest podiatry practice on the Gold Coast.
The clinic was established on the Gold Coast in 1967, by Chiropodist Sister Ford in Davenport Street, Southport.
Since then, the Davenport Street practice has had a number of owners (sold to John Lawson in 1979, then to Stephen Cardinal in 1982) until David Webby purchased the practice in 1999.
In 2003, David relocated Southport Podiatry Clinic to the current location at 17 Railway Street in Southport. The 90-year-old building was converted to a ground floor practice / consulting rooms and residence upstairs.
In November 2017 after relocating from Melbourne, Alistair McIntosh together with his wife Rebecca (a Gold Coast local), purchased the practice.
Conveniently located at 17 Railway Street, Southport, there is plenty of on street parking is available. A converted Queenslander house, our clinic has several treatment rooms and is bright and airy with lots of character.
Over the 2018 Australia Day long weekend (26-28 Jan), we got our closest family and friends together to give the clinic a coat of paint.
It was a huge team effort to get it all done but we love it and hope you do too! We'd like to thank Rebecca's mum and dad Greg and Margaret, close family friend Ray and our neighbour Trent for all of their hard work. We couldn't have done it without them!
Next time you're in .... let us know what you think!

“I had the worst cracked heels from walking barefoot / in thongs. Al suggested immediate relief options over the phone that would help me until I was able to see him later in the week. When I saw him, he completely removed the cracks and all pain immediately. He also suggested ways to make sure my cracked heels didn't return.

"Al has been looking after my feet for some time now, including through two pregnancies. Spending a lot of time at home and with the kids means I don't always wear the best footwear. Al is great at maintaining my nails, cracked heels and heel pain and has provided me with quick and easy home treatments and he's focused on my long-term wellbeing. I would highly recommend Al, especially throughout pregnancy!

“My youngest walks on his toes all the time. He did 2 weeks of footy training and ended up with the sorest calf muscles to the point where he couldn't walk. Al was able to diagnose the problem as habitual and suggested a series of stretching exercises. Although my son is lazy with his exercises, he knows as soon as the pain starts, he knows how to get rid of it. Al is great with kids and highly recommend him to anyone.”

"I was training for an Ironman triathlon and had the worst knee pain. After trying a couple of different approaches, we decided to try orthotics. I made it through my triathlon (and various marathons/trail running events) and never looked back. I even had a second pair made so I didn't have to keep taking them out of my various pairs of running shoes."
